We are aged married couple, rested at the “Grace Gorizont” Hotel from November 3 to 8, 2022. Room 224 of the "economy without window" category. The impressions of the hotel are the best. I liked everything: the equipment of the room (kettle, large TV, small safe, roomy refrigerator, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, regularly replenished supplies of cosmetics and drinking water); conscientious (at the same time imperceptible) work of the maids; breakfast to our taste and the opportunity to drink morning coffee on the terrace, looking at strolling along the embankment and rare (November after all) swimmers; daily evening spa visits (necessarily - Russian, hammam and reflex baths, the rest - sometimes); good WiFi (although we were warned about possible problems with it when we checked in, in fact we never observed any). I would especially like to mention the work of the managers at the reception: friendly smiles at every meeting and wishes for a good day. Many thanks to Maria for the warm welcome on the day of arrival, high-quality information and early check-in. Upon check-out from the hotel (in the morning, before breakfast), we were provided with well-stocked and packed lunch boxes. The location of the hotel is a separate "song". Of course, a solid staircase to the sea as a mandatory ingredient of a beach holiday can be annoying, but somehow we didn't have to climb it, only went down with pleasure a couple of times. But there are so many beautiful places for hiking around: Seaport, Sycamore Alley and pedestrian Navaginskaya; the oldest monument of Sochi "Anchor and Cannon", Seaside Park and pump room with Plastunskaya, Winter Theater and corner "Phytophantasia"; Festival Square, Cathedral (the oldest stone building of the city), the remains of the walls of Navaginsky Fort and Hellenic descent; Arts Square, an Art Museum and a monument to Sokolov in front of the former malaria station. If desired, you can organize yourself some kind of thematic walking route-quest. For example, acquaintance with the works of the Sochi sculptor Hakob Khalafyan ("Horse in a coat", "Boat trip", "Quartet", "Ostriches", etc.). Or try to find preserved buildings-villas of the early 20th century in the city center... For longer walks (using public transport), Grace Horizon is also a very convenient starting point: the nearest stop on Kurortny Prospekt (Sochi Hotel) is about 500m without height differences in beautiful places. Routes and approximate bus schedules can be viewed on the Sochi Public transport website. The road from the hotel to the popular parks of the city ("Riviera", "Arboretum") will take no more than 20 minutes. In an hour and a half, you can get to many interesting places already outside the Central Sochi. For example, we visited the plantations and the factory "Matsesta-tea" (No. 120, to the ost "Chaysovkhoz") and overcame a rather difficult terrain with magnificent views along the canyon "White Rocks" (No. 48 to "Hosta-bridge" with a transfer to No. 128 to "White Rocks"). Public transport did not let us down, I recommend it. That's just with varieties No. 105 (communication with the airport), I do not advise contacting (according to old experience): there is a high probability of getting a bunch of negative emotions... There are a lot of opportunities to have a good time in Sochi, even in November. And, again, the location of a particular hotel for these purposes is ideal. I advise you to study the Sochi poster before your trip (for example, on the skfo website). During our five days, for example, we attended a couple of wonderful concerts. The walk to the hotel after the event from the Winter Theater, the New Theater or the Organ Hall will take about 10 minutes. Summing up the results. "Grace Gorizont" is the fourth of the group of Grace hotels in which we stayed. We liked all four of them, but especially "Gorizont". Many thanks to all the staff for a wonderful holiday. Sincerely, Natalia.
